Ryno’s Group was engaged by Ausgrid to remediate non-friable asbestos-contaminated soil at their electrical substation located in Hamilton South / Merewether, NSW in July 2025.
The scope of works involved the excavation, removal, and disposal of approximately 100 tonnes of contaminated soil, requiring careful handling and full compliance with NSW safety regulations.
Our team utilised:
A 12-tonne excavator for controlled excavation
10-wheeler tipper trucks equipped with “sealed bins” for safe and efficient transport and disposal
Coordinated logistics to ensure compliant handling and disposal at approved facilities
Continuous asbestos air monitoring throughout the duration of the project
