Asbestos Make Safe Reports FAQ

Your Asbestos Make Safe Reports Questions Answered.

What is an asbestos make-safe service?
arrow
Asbestos make-safe services are essential measures taken to ensure the safety and security of a building or structure after an incident or damage involving asbestos. These services aim to prevent further harm or hazards and protect residents, surrounding areas, and property.
What is the difference between friable and non-friable asbestos?
arrow
Friable asbestos is easily crumbled into a powder and releases highly hazardous fibres when disturbed. Non-friable asbestos is bound in a solid material and is less likely to release fibres unless damaged. Both require professional handling, but friable asbestos demands stricter protocols due to its increased health risks. We provide make-safe services that keep your site free from both friable and non-friable asbestos.
Do clearances have to be conducted for asbestos removal?
arrow
Yes, a clearance certificate is mandatory after asbestos removal for anything over 10m2 for non-friable and for any friable jobs. Thankfully, Ryno’s will organise this, so you won’t have to lift a finger. This Independent Competent Person (ICP) will assess the work area to confirm the absence of asbestos fibres. Ryno's ensures all of these necessary clearances are obtained.
What if I suspect asbestos in my industrial building?
